Homeopathy & Anxiety

Arsenicum Album: This remedy can help with feelings of apprehension and constant worry about finances or other aspects of life. There can be restlessness, exhaustion from mental effort, hypochondria (fear of developing physical illnesses), trembling hands/nervousness and insomnia due to worrying thoughts.


Gelsemium: Those who often suffer from general feelings of fearfulness or anxiety caused by everyday tasks or events should consider using this remedy as it can help relax tense muscles and reduce any associated physical symptoms such as trembling or nausea. This remedy can help with feelings of anticipatory anxiety before giving public presentations or going on job interviews. Other symptoms include weak limbs/shaking limbs/trembling muscles/general weakness and heaviness in the head/eyes/face accompanied by yawning and drowsiness.


Ignatia: This remedy is often recommended for those coping with acute emotional distress, particularly following recent traumatic events like a breakup, loss of a loved one, or other significant personal upheavals. There can be frequent sighing/sobbing, outbursts/irritability alternating with sadness and an aversion to company yet loneliness when alone. Alongside emotional symptoms, physical manifestations can include headaches (often described as feeling like a nail being driven into the head), and a lump in the throat sensation.


Natrum Muriaticum: When negative thoughts become overwhelming this remedy can help assist with clearer thinking and reducing excessive worrying. Natrum muriaticum can also assist in easing headaches, insomnia, palpitations and fatigue - all common signs of anxiety. They can experience difficulty sleeping due to thoughts of grief, tearfulness coupled with a desire for solitude, and mood swings where one moment they may feel sad yet another moment they may feel angry.


Phosphorus: Those dealing with social anxiety will benefit from this particular remedy. There can be fearfulness in unfamiliar places like crowded shops or around strangers in general, feelings of insecurity even around familiar people and agitation that switches between intense energy followed by sudden exhaustion.


Pulsatilla: For those who experience mood swings amid anxiousness, this remedy can be quite beneficial, this person may experience weepy spells along with feeling better when comforted by others & worse when left alone plus an overall neediness that comes & goes with certain situations.


Sepia: This remedy helps manage feelings of irritability & exhaustion due to work stress, they may be feeling overwhelmed & overwrought during times when there is much responsibility on one's shoulders coupled with feeling emotionally cold towards loved ones.
